In the first few months of the pandemic, our main concern was to protect ourselves physically – and that’s the ideal approach. But as the months pass by, people are now more anxious. There is this level of uncertainty that we all fear. And it can affect us mentally. This is true, especially for people who lost their jobs and are separated from their families. You can also minimize your social media use. You cannot control what other people are sharing, so it is better to protect yourself. 

Share positive stories

If you will use social media, it’s best if you share positive news such as progress in the medical industry or recovery stories from patients. We’ve seen several videos about thousands of people praising yet practicing social distancing. These things can calm us down and bring us hope.

Allow children to be expressive

Let your kids play around the house and use their imagination. Give them time to build a makeshift fort. Or perhaps, teach them how to cook or paint. This is also healthy for adults, and we say, do it right now.

Always stay connected with the people you care and love

This is the best time to stay in touch with your friends and families. Good thing we have the internet. Plus, technology allows us to have video calls. Maximize it right now. A 5-minute call can be healthy for you and everyone.

Stay physically active

For people who can’t leave their homes,  there are exercises which you can do in limited spaces. Some are even watching YouTube videos or downloading fitness apps to keep them going. If you have stairs, then go up and down multiple times. It doesn’t matter what type of workout you are doing right now. What’s important is that you keep on moving.

Choose the food you eat

And lastly, this is the best time that you become picky with your food choices. If you can store more vegetables and fruits in your pantry, then please do so. And get your supply of vitamins and supplements. These are the items that you have to invest on right now.
