So, you are exercising every single day, eating the right foods, and even taking care of your mental health. Do you think that is enough? Well, it actually isn’t. Some people forget about a number of health manners and that’s one of the reasons why they get sick (or spread the virus) unintentionally. What are these? Go ahead and scroll down to find out.

Consider these health manners

Blowing your nose in public

Please make it a habit to excuse yourself most especially if you are to blow your nose. Go to the nearest restroom and do your business there. Make sure to wash your hands after – which leads us to the next tip.

Not washing your hands as necessary

Always remember to wash your hands. And make sure that you are doing it correctly. You don’t need an actual timer to know if you are already done washing. Just sing Happy Birthday twice and you are all good. Obviously, not cleaning your hands can spread germs easily. If there is no available soap and water, at least have a hand sanitizer or alcohol ready for the meantime.

Not covering your mouth as you cough or sneeze

When you don’t have a handkerchief ready, don’t use your hands to cover your mouth when you cough. The next best thing is to cough toward your upper sleeve.

Going to work even when sick

Going to work while sick is a big NO-NO! For crying out loud, listen to your body and get enough rest. Don’t you dare go to the office or you might spread the infection. Imagine if more people will get sick. That can really put a dent in your office’s productivity. If you are not feeling well, just stay at home. I’m sure a couple of days not being present in the office will not kill you.

Shaking hands while not feeling well

Working while sick is already bad, but do you know what’s worse than that? It’s actually shaking hands or hugging people in the office even if you are obviously not feeling well. Really? What are you trying to do? If you feel you are about to get sick, then politely excuse yourself from physical contact.

Not cleaning your area

You must always clean your space whether we are talking about your home or your office desk. Wipe your door handles, your tables, and even spray disinfectant if possible. This shows that you care about your family and even your colleagues.

Talking about another person’s health issues

Regardless if the issue is true or not, you are in no way to talk about it with other people. It’s just unethical unless of course, the person needs help and you are talking to a medical professional. Similarly, it is also not necessary to share all the details about your own health issues. Sometimes, these details can be gross. Hence, if you are not asked to describe it in details, just keep it to yourself.
