If you are looking for ways to have that younger-looking face, this post is perfect for you. We can share with you some of the best techniques to achieve that face from years ago (without going under the knife). We are talking about simple facial exercises. However, you have to be very cautious. Doing this the wrong way can make you look older!
How many minutes should you do facial exercises?
According to experts, you would need to exercise your face 30 minutes per day, few times a week. It’s not going to eat up a lot of your time. Plus, this saves you tons of money. Not bad, right?
What are the recommended facial exercises?
Eye-firming, cheek plumper
Place your hands below your lower lash line and just above your cheekbones. Press your hands onto your skin to hold the muscles. Squint your eyes, hold for five seconds, and repeat for five times.
This is a great alternative if you want to skip eye surgery and botox. Here’s what you need to do. Make sure that both your middle fingers press the inner corner of your eyebrows. Now, using your index fingers, put mild pressure to the outer corners of your eyebrows. Look above and slightly raise your lower eyelids. Do this for six more times.
Remove your forehead lines
Most of us have visible forehead lines and apparently, these make us look older. To delay that specific sign of aging, what you need to do is to put your hands on the forehead and spread your fingers. Apply light pressure while sweeping your hands across your forehead. You can do this for 10 times.
The smile exercise
This is ideal if you want to improve your cheek lines. With this technique, you can stay away from fillers and facelifts. Imagine the money you would be saving! Open your mouth and hide your teeth using your lips. Smile as wide as you can and repeat for six times. While smiling, place your index finger on your chin and move your jaw up and down. Not hard, isn’t it?
The neck exercise
You see, your neck should be given importance too. The skin on that area is also very sensitive and it can age faster than the skin on your face. Look straight, place your fingertips on the bottom area of your neck, stroke the skin downwards while your head is tilted. Bring your head back down and repeat this exercise two times.
But always remember to clean your hands thoroughly before doing these facial exercises. Most, if not all of these exercises would need your hands. If you are not hygienic enough, you could end up with skin irritations and infections. If that happens, you are defying the purpose of facial exercises which is to look young.
Also, try not to rub your eyes because you can actually tear up tissues and that can instantly add age to your face.
Do the above exercises and see results in a few weeks time.
