Start with your homecooked meals

If you want to live a better life, you have to start with the food you prepare. Make sure that you don’t depend on fast food or ‘takeouts’ even if it so tempting. You can always check recipes online which are both healthy and easy to do. In addition, make it a habit to read labels when you do your grocery shopping. You might want to choose items which are organic. This is so you can reap the maximum health benefits of the foods and even the spices and condiments.

Give yourself a ‘me’ time

We understand that most of your time is dedicated to your kids. But you have to make sure that you spend time alone. Use it to reflect, to meditate, to relax, and to even appreciate all the things that you have done. Believe it or not, you are doing a great job even if you burnt your meal, or you forgot to wash the dishes.


Being a mother can be tiring. However, you should always make time to exercise. You don’t know where to start? Simply do low-impact exercises. A walk in the park can do the trick. Yoga is also a great option as it can improve your mental health. Or if you want, ask your kids to join you. You can have a 30-minute dancing session with them. And if you think you can manage to run or ride a bike, then go ahead!

Learn new things

Another great idea is to go camping or hiking where you can be with nature, and at the same time unplug yourself from the online world.
