Have you ever wonder what is the best way to keep your skin healthy and radiant? Washing your face the right way might be the secret to clear skin. Washing your face is an important step and an easy way to give your skin a boost. However, it is important to do it the right way to avoid harming your skin.

1.Wash your face with warm water

The first step in washing your face would be to wash your face with warm water. Not hot water but warm water. Washing your face with hot water can be very damaging to your skin. Too hot and it will dry out your skin. Too cold and it will constrict your pores, not allowing it to be cleansed deep enough.

Warm water is gentle and also helps to open up the pores without hurting the skin. It also makes cleaning easier.

Splash your face with warm water. Or, you can also take a towel, moisten it with warm water and pat your face with it.

2. Use a gentle cleanser

To clean your face, use a gentle and mild cleanser to avoid irritating your skin. Now, most people tend to apply the cleanser directly to the face. But, the key here is to soap your hands with the cleanser and lather the cleanser until to forms foam bubbles. The added oxygen in the foam bubbles will help to deep clean your skin better.

Take your time and massage your face gently for about 1 minute. Massaging your face while cleansing will help to improve blood circulation around the face.

3. Rinse with warm water

Now, take your time when rinsing off the foam. HealthLoco recommends rinsing with water for about 10 times. Remember not to use hot water or cold water.

4. Exfoliate

Exfoliating is the process of gently rubbing your skin to remove dirt and dead skin cells to allow new skin cells to form. It helps to prevent your pores from getting clogged and also makes your skin look radiant, fresh, and bright.

Try to focus on an area that tends to be dry and oily. Remember not to do exfoliate too many times a week as it may irritate the skin. Try to exfoliate about 2 to 3 times a week for best results.

5. Rinse again

Rinse with warm water, then rinse with cold water to close off the pores.

6. Pat dry

After that, pat dry with soft flannel. Make sure to pat dry and do not rub the flannel against your skin as it can irritate the skin.

7.  Proceed with your skin care

Once you have cleansed your face, you can then proceed to your skincare step to seal in the moisture. If you do not moisturise your skin, it can cause more oil production in the skin and lead to the formation of pimples and acne.
