Most of us are still staying at home and enjoying hours of watching movies. But if you are done with all the series and shows that you want to watch, maybe it’s the right time that you learn new activities. Let’s have a list to help you.

Activities to start this pandemic

Baking and Cooking

what are the best activities this pandemic

When you browse your social media feed, you would probably notice a lot of your friends already making their own pastries and cooking new dishes. If you are not a kitchen person, then you can change it now. Good thing because there are a lot of recipes to check out online. You can start with the easy ones so as to not get overwhelmed.

We recommend preparing your own food because this allows you to monitor the ingredients. That means, you can start choosing the healthier options, which we all know is crucial.

Gardening

Gardening is also a good activity. In fact, most home growers believe that seeing their plants can help them relieve stress. You don’t even have to worry if you have a limited space because you can grow plants indoors. In some cases, people try to grow their vegetables and starting being self-sustainable. Given the situation we all face right now, that’s actually not a bad idea.

Reading Books

Reading books will always be a highly-recommended activity. It doesn’t have to be a best-seller. Reading any type of book is already beneficial. If you want a novel or if you have dusty Almanac that you kept hidden for years, then go ahead. You would be surprised by the things you do not know of.

Online Courses

Some of us are taking advantage of online courses. If your technology permits, we say, do it too. Recently, big companies offered free business courses. Perhaps, these offers are still ongoing. If not, you can still get online lectures from different providers like Udemy.

Sewing

Another great activity to learn this pandemic is to try making your own clothes. For beginners, then you can try redesigning your old ones. You can take it slow. And once you are ready for the big stuff, then you can probably make your own dresses and pants from scratch.

Writing

Writing is also good for the soul. You can start your own blog and share your thoughts about the situation we’re in. We know that some people use the blog space to earn money, and if you are serious enough, then maybe you can take that direction too.

Completing Puzzles

And if you want to challenge your brain, get some hard to decipher puzzles. This could be a great activity not just for you, but for the entire family.

Conclusion

Please note that if you want to use the time to just relax and not to do anything,  then you are free to do so. Again, in these trying times, no one can really say how you should cope up. Just do what is best for your mental health and let’s hope for a better tomorrow.

If you have learned something new while at home, please share it with us.
