During the Holiday season, most of us have blocked our calendars for reunions and other gatherings. While it is always exciting to eat lots of food, we all know that it can take a toll on our bodies. And that is why we created this post. We want you to enjoy the Yuletide season without compromising your health. So how do you do it? Scroll down to learn more.

How to stay healthy this Yuletide season?

Don’t rush

When eating, we tend to eat fast out of excitement. But that means you are also bound to eat more. What you can do is to eat slowly and savor every bite. Surprisingly, this is more satisfying. In addition, we recommend that you take breaks when eating. So, for example, you are done with your first helping, wait for 10 minutes before you go for another round. By doing this, you might realize that you are already almost full and would get smaller servings.

Don’t go to parties with an empty stomach

Most of us would go to parties with an empty stomach. However, that will just make you overeat. Why don’t you try to eat healthy crackers or biscuits before going to the party? That should help and you will not be tempted to eat a lot.

Always hydrate yourself

We also suggest that you drink water as often as you can. This is a no-brainer, right? But you have to exert twice as much effort during the Holidays. We know that you might be drinking a lot of sodas and alcoholic drinks. If that’s the case, we suggest that you drink a glass of water between your cocktails or other beverages. Trust us, this will be beneficial most especially the day after.

Look for healthier options

And if you will host a party, you can actually have a healthier menu for everyone. It doesn’t have to taste bland. You can create vegan pizza or perhaps make your own healthy drink. For sure they will enjoy your party and your meal. The best part is, it is guilt-free. With this tip, we hope you already crossed out that pizza delivery number.

Include your work out session in your calendar

When your calendar is filled with social activities, it seems hard to include exercising or working out. But to make a commitment, it would best if you write your workout schedule as well. You can even split your activities within the day so you can still make time for your social engagements. For example, you have an hour jogging routine every night. Why don’t you adjust your schedule and have a 30-minute jogging session, one in the morning and one at night time? This is more ideal and feasible.

Don’t overdo it

We understand that it is really the season wherein you don’t care about the time. Before you know it, it’s already the wee hours of the morning. But we all know that lack of sleep will not help you in any way. Having said that, schedule your parties earlier if possible. After all, it’s really not about having late-night parties. It’s about the people you are spending your time with.
