What are the best exercises for college students

A speedy strength training workout

With a strength training workout, you can avoid soreness and injuries. What’s good about this is that you don’t need heavy equipment. You can do it at your home or even at your dormitory. A 10-minute routine should do you just fine.

Kickboxing workout

This is highly effective if you want to burn calories and to release some stress. You can find a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube and all you have to do is to follow the steps. You can find videos which are less than 15 minutes and you can easily squeeze that in your day.

Dance workout

If you are not a fan of kickboxing, then try dance workout. It’s really fun to do and you won’t even notice the time. This is an effective way to keep your blood flowing.

A quick cardio workout

This is perfect if you don’t have much time to exercise. Just 10 minutes per day and you are good to go. We recommend that you do biking, running, or swimming. Make sure that you do it rapidly to get its full benefits.

Mental exercises

And let’s not forget about mental exercises. We’re sure you have been using your brains for all your classes, but it is still beneficial that you do other mental workouts. Try to learn a new instrument or a song to play. Maybe you can try to learn a new language. The bottom line is, challenge your brain the same way you are challenging your body.

Bad habits college students should avoid to stay healthy

Not having a good sleeping habit

Sometimes, it can be tempting to sleep late at night to finish all your school works and of course, to have a bit of social life. However, if you do this on a regular basis, that might take a toll on your health. Plus, you should remember that lack of sleep can affect your focus. You might not be able to participate well in your class if you haven’t completed your sleep. If you want to stay up late, then schedule it over the weekends.

Not eating healthy food

Again, with your schedule jam-packed with so many things, a lot of college students resort to eating fast foods. Obviously, these are fast – and delicious, but definitely unhealthy. Try to prepare your own healthy meals and snacks. And don’t forget to drink lots of water instead of energy drinks or beer.

Not facing problems

As early as now,  you should try to face your problems and not keep it to yourself. This is healthy for your mental and emotional health.

So, can you give more tips on how you can make your college life healthier? We are waiting for your comments.
