Activities before bed that does not involve technology? Sounds like a pretty tough thing to do.
Sure, using your phone and watching television is a great way to unwind yourself after a long stressful day at work before bed. But, it is also a reason you may find yourself awake at 11.p.m. or 2.a.m. in the middle of the night unable to fall asleep. Plus, looking at technology can make it even harder to fall asleep as it is an unhealthy distraction.
And before you know it, you get those dark circles under your eye, and you feel extremely fatigue the next morning, making you even more tired the next day.
I am not saying that you should cut all connections with your phone completely, you would still need to text you boyfriend and best friend goodnight messages considering you have not seen them for the whole day.
But in case you feel like doing something that does not involve any technology, here are ten activities before bed that you can do. Sleep tight!
Colouring seems like an activity that only involves kids, but nowadays, there have been colouring books for sale for adults. It is said that these colouring books helps in relieving stress and can help you to unwind and destress after a long hectic day at work.
It is a good way to relive your childhood memories as an adult.
2. Plan your next holiday
When you are relaxing in bed after a day at work, instead of going straight for the phone or the television remote control, try taking out your notebook and create plans for your next holiday. Though it is still early for a vacation, planning your vacation early can be a form of motivation, and it can be your next motivation for working harder at work.
You can also look forward to that beautiful beach, food, and shopping.
3. Read a book
Reading is one of the most common activities before bed. However, if you are not a book person, try picking up a book, a magazine, or even the recent newspaper. It is a great way to destress and switch off before going to bed. Reading also makes you more creative and boost your concentration level.
4. Plan your next prank for your friend
It may be a little cheeky of you, but you can start planning on how you would like to prank your friend next. Thinking of ways to prank your friends is a good way for you to indulge in a bit of giggles before bed. Of course, make sure the prank is harmless so that they do not cause them to have a heart attack.
5. Decide your outfit
When you have nothing to do at night before the next day at work, open your wardrobe and start planning for your next outfit for the next day. That way, you do not have to worry about rampaging through your closet and thinking about what to wear.
You can also sleep more that way knowing that you have your outfit planned out. Getting ready in the morning will be a breeze. Let us try not to end up like this.
6. Write down your thoughts
After a long day at work, you may be still angry about something that happened in your day. Maybe that boss of your was an ass, or maybe some customer was being difficult, and you had to hold it in until you ended work.
Try writing your thoughts down onto a piece of paper. You can scold, curse and swear. Just write it down on a piece of paper or a book. Rant all your stress out, and you may find yourself feeling better after it.
Just make sure you do not bring it to work and end up letting your boss see by accident.
7. Plan your weekend

8. Spend time with your pets
If you have a pet at home, take some time and spend time with your furry little ones. Give them all the love they missed out while you were out at work the whole day.
9. Spend time with your family
Taking some time out to have a nice evening chat with your family is one of the best things you can give them. Due to your busy schedule, you may have missed out most of your time with them. Take some time to catch up with them and let them know about your day and how your life is going.
10. Make a note
Make a small thank you note for someone special and remind them that they are the reason you smile every day. It can make you smile and look forward to seeing their reaction. It is a sweet gesture. You can even attach it to a chocolate bar and hid it in their bag for them to find it the next day.
